"Iron Man 4" Robert Downey Jr. might not be pushed through, at least, according to RDJ's latest statement. Despite the fact that countless fans of Marvel are looking forward to another "Iron Man 4" Robert Downey Jr. flick, it looks like RDJ may not be the actor behind the mask in the upcoming blockbuster.

However, there is absolutely no reason for his fans to worry, since Downey will still be zooming around the big screen for a few more years. Sadly, according to multiple online reports, "Iron Man 4" Robert Downey Jr. is not one of them.

RDJ has been asked by many about whether or not he is only under a kind of contract of secrecy regarding the future of yet another "Iron Man 4" Robert Downey Jr. His responses to such queries have been pretty ambiguous at most.

Entertainment Weekly asked him about his part in a possible "Iron Man 4" Robert Downey Jr. flick. He merely responded, "It's that thing of: Why give up the best when it feels like you can barely get jabbed?"

It is a known fact that the "Iron Man" franchise is highly profitable. RDJ even hinted that the film series will most likely not end at the third film. He said, "It's down to Kevin and Ike and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree. When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement."

"Iron Man 4" Robert Downey Jr. also told Variety, "The smart money is you have to look at everybody's age. I'll put myself at the top of the list. Sooner or later, they've got to start over and get somebody young. I'm not there with them yet. It really is the closest thing to being a beloved contract player with a big old-timey studio that there is right now. When you really think about it at the end of the day, these films are entertainment largely driven by young folks."
