"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" is now officially edging closer to its production stages in Australia. After a long period of appealing to the Australian Government, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales" has finally been given a go-ahead, particularly as the country approved a $20.2 million incentives package just on Monday.

A spokesperson for the Australian Arts Minister, George Brandis, stated, "The Government is pleased to agree to Disney's request to enable earlier funding to be repurposed for the production of 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5."

Disney had actually requested that the Government of Australia reallocate the incentives granted for "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and boost them to a 30% budget for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5." This could be much closer to getting a figure that is over $2000 million. The offer of the federal Government, although it really was bigger than the previous one, is still a bit short of what Disney was initially looking for. Multiple reports have stated that Disney has now opted to go to individual stage agencies in order to make up for the difference.

So far, it looks like the state of Queensland has been selected to house most of the scenes for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5." In fact, The Queensland Times has already revealed that majority of the scenes for the upcoming blockbuster is expected to be filmed at the site of the special tanks that are located at the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast. Plus, rumor has it that "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will also be filming in Far North Queensland.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will most likely be on the big screens by the summer of 2017. As hoped for by fans, Johnny Depp will be returning to the set to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow and that Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning will be directing the film.
