"Deepwater Horizon" news: the 2010 oil spill and BP oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico is in the works for movie adapatation.

According to Deadline, the major actor who is still in talks for 'Deepwater Horizon' movie is Mark Wahlberg.


The movie is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian (under Paramount). The source said the story is "adapted from The New York Times article "Deepwater Horizon's Final Hour,", which highlights the courage of those who worked on the oil rig when it blew, killing 11 and injuring 16 others. "


Once the actor of 'Transformer: Age Of Extinction' announces to play the role, his character is set to be the No. 2 manager on the doomed oil rig in the movie. The story will be showing what happened behind-the-scenes in the 48 hours unti the day of the disaster. The upcoming film will show heroism in trying to rescue men in the water, which has not been told to the general public.

The "Deepwater Horizon" release date is targeting a late spring or in early summer. No trailer is yet release for this movie.
