Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union's wedding over Labor Day confirms a weekend of celebrity couples' tying the knot.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union's wedding was all over Instagram and Twitter, in spite of the couple's request to keep things low-key. The Miami Heat player is now wed to BET's "Being Mary Jane" star.

The long-time couple tied the knot this weekend at Miami's Chateau Artisan Castle, with several famous celebrities in attendance. "Bring It On" star and blushing bride Gabrielle wore a gown by Dennis Basso, a traditional white, strapless dress.

A highlight of Gabrielle's big day was the bling, and new hubby Dwyane didn't scrimp on the wedding ring. On the bride's finger was a custom 8.5-carat cushion cut ring, fashioned by Jason of Beverly Hills.

The couple started dating in 2009, with on-off seasons in their five-year relationship. They also spent time apart in between because of distance and conflicts in their schedules. With Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union's wedding, the "Love and Basketball" star thinks in retrospect.

"I'd always wanted an awesome career with back-to-back projects, but I realized I wasn't willing to sacrifice my relationship for it. Moving forward, I decided my work schedule has to make sense for our family. If your relationship isn't something you're willing to give up and you can compromise, do so." (cbsnews.com)

She gushed in a Glamour Magazine interview on how she felt when they reunited: "I think he's so delicious. Watching him get out of the shower never gets old. Never."

The big day was capped with a performance from John Legend; the couple apparently went so far as to ban phones, cameras, and social media during the reception (tmz.com). The save the date for Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union's wedding was public, though.

Earlier, Wade's fiancée confided to Ellen Degeneres that, "Secretly, this is his princess moment,' commenting that his hubby was all about the details and the planning.
