"House of Cards" season 3 cast Kevin Spacey earned huge by playing Frank Underwood, as the show poked fun at the Emmy snub.
According to the new report from TVGuide, "House of Cards" season 3 cast is earning half a million dollars per episode, which include his pay as Frank Underwood as well as producer fees and share in the profits.
With the $500,000 that "House of Cards" season 3 cast Kevin Spacey gets, he earned $6.5 million last season after filming 13 episodes total.
The website, however, projected the actor's earnings to hit $ million from profits of the streaming service.
The Business Insider reported that "House of Cards" season 3 cast Kevin Spacey's salary was enough to land him in the list of TV's highest paid actors.
In its list of highest paid TV actors, the Forbes magazine ranked Ashton Kutcher as the top moneymaker for 2014, earning $750,000 per episode, followed by his co-star in "Two and a Half Men," Jon Cryer who earns $650,000. Mark Harmon earns $525,000 for "NCIS."
However, that's about the change with the contract signed by "The Big Bang Theory" cast Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons which will net them at least $1 million per episode.
"House of Cards" season 3 cast Kevin Spacey was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor, while co-star Robin Wright (Claire Underwood) was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress. The show also received 13 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
Out of all the nominations, the series only managed to take home the Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series.
With the Emmy snub for major awards, Netflix uploaded a short clip poking fun at the show, per Cinema Blend The clip, showing Frank Underwood's loyal friend Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) making a phone call supposedly to somebody from the award-giving body .
"Jim, it's Doug Stamper. I thought we had a deal."
