Chris Pratt and Anna Farris have been married since 2009. And while they look like a normal Hollywood couple, the circumstance wherein they first got to know each other was not the usual meet-cute.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star first met "The House Bunny" actress on the set of their movie "Take Me Home Tonight" in 2007. And although they hit things right off the bat, Pratt only kept things friendly with the then married Faris.
In his new interview with Esquire, Pratt shared that the set-up proved to be really advantageous on his part. He treated Faris as one of his closest friends, and never tried to be someone he was not around her.
Such was Pratt and Faris' unconventional friendship.
"When Faris came over to his apartment, he left porn magazines out. She didn't mind," says Esquire writer Anna Peel. "He detailed sexual encounters he had recently had as a single man in Los Angeles. She was into it. Into it into it? Into it into it. So when she called him to tell him that she had left her husband, Pratt decided he was going to marry her. He also decided he would be more like her, that he would study her and learn her sweet patience the way he's learned to be a gentleman from his military friend."
But despite the sweetness that is Chris Pratt, Anna Faris had her fair share of surprises from her husband.
After getting hitched, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star gifted Faris with a very unusual gift- a gun. He wanted her to keep the weapon handy just in case any potential stalkers might decide to bring ruckus to their lives.
