The Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt wedding is this week's biggest celebrity event, and Angelina Jolie's wedding dress is literally one-of-a-kind.
The Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt wedding isn't the only celebrity nuptial over the weekend. Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross, Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg, and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union all tied the knot, with enough fanfare to create a buzz around them.
The Brangelina wedding is probably the year's biggest yet, though, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding considered. Even though Brad and Angelina kept the details under wraps, official photos and tidbits are now public domain.
The couple chose Chateau Miraval, their French estate, as the place to tie the knot on August 23. It's confirmed that Angelina Jolie's wedding dress is the traditional white gown, but her friend Luigi Massi from Atelier Versace made sure the dress is truly one-of-a-kind.
Massi sewed designs taken from their kids' drawings into the dress, which was one of the highlights of the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt wedding.
Jolie comments in an interview with People Magazine: "Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."
Brad, on the other hand, chose to wear a suit straight out of the closet, but with a twist. It appeared he forgot to bring a tie so he borrowed from one of his sons instead!
The couple was candid in a Hello Magazine interview: "It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family."
The Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt happened nine years and six kids into the couple's relationship, and coincidentally, on the tenth year anniversary of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," where the couple hooked up (source: hollywoodlife.com).
