Get to know the judge who officiated Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's wedding!
People reported that Jolie and Pitt did allow their six children make their wedding plans for them; their children planned their wedding cake, and even Jolie's dress.
However, when it comes to making the wedding official, of course, they turned to a professional individual.
The couple picked retired California judge, John Ouderkirk, to officiate the much awaited Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's wedding in France.
Ouderkirk officiated the civil wedding ceremony at the couple's family estate in Chateau Miraval, as reported by People magazine.
Ouderkirk is a private attorney who handles various cases for privately held organizations. He was all over the news way back in 1993, when he took over a murder case trial.
Ouderkirk presided over the wedding ceremony conveniently as the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt wedding was previously initiated by the couple's California marriage license. Jolie and Pitt obtained a California marriage license prior to their wedding in France.
Ouderkirk was one of the selected guests who were present at the wedding. The couple only had 20 guests. The guest list included Pitt's parents, Bill and Jane, his brother and sister, Doug and Julie, and Jolie's brother, James Haven.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's wedding was meant to be a private family affair. This was probably the reason why only a few guests were invited.
