The first official photo of "Peter Pan Live!" has finally been released an it features "Girls" star Allison Williams who will be playing the role of Peter Pan himself.

On Wednesday, "Today" unveiled the first photo that featured Williams in the titular role of Peter Pan, complete with the character's costume, TV Line reported.

Williams previously revealed that she has always been dreaming of playing the character of Peter Pan since she was three years old and now her dreams are finally coming true.

Last month, Williams released a statement confirming her casting where she also said, "I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old. It's such an honor to be a part of this adventure, and I'm very excited to get to work with this extraordinarily talented team. And besides, what could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?"

In an interview with Today, the actress and professionally trained singer admitted to wanting to cut her hair short if only to give justice to Peter Pan's character.

"I sort of very tentatively offered to cut my hair, I was like, 'You know, if it's a thing that would help I could cut my hair,' and they were like, 'You're welcome to do that, we're still gonna put you in a wig.'"

In the first official photo, Williams was photographed sitting on an old sailing ship while wearing a green vest over a short-sleeved fishnet shirt.

On Twitter, Today unveiled the photo and wrote, "First photo! See Allison Williams as Peter Pan."

"Peter Pan Live!" will air on NBC this coming December 4. The show hails from the same producers of "The Sound of Music Live!" and "Smash," E! News noted.

Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, producers of the live show said, "Allison Williams is a major find. She will reinvent the iconic role of Peter Pan with her wit, her warmth, her dynamic flying and her wonderful musical abilities. The score will be sung beautifully and introduced to a whole new generation of families."
