The "Frozen 2" sequel was just teased last night, also confirming a new theme song out from the same people who wrote "Let It Go."
The "Frozen 2" sequel is confirmed to hit theatres, Anna and Elsa fans rejoice! Disney has confirmed it is working on a feature film starring the familiar characters of "Frozen."
The big news was recently revealed during ABC's broadcast, "The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic," which aired Tuesday night. Viewers were in for a surprise when the announcement came during the broadcast, confirming a sequel of sorts for the acclaimed, box-office hit.
The catch to the tease: "Frozen 2" won't be a full-length feature film, though. Though the feature would be shown on the big screen, it'll serve as a tease of sorts to the live-action adaptation of the Cinderella story, according to a report.
The "Frozen 2" sequel is entitled "Frozen Forever," and will bring back the entire main cast for an encore. The official synopsis was also teased on the ABC broadcast.
'It's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.'
Also confirmed in the announcement is a new theme song, written by the same Oscar Award-winning couple Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Their single "Let It Go" won an Academy Award, also one of the year's biggest hits.
"Frozen Forever" may not be a proper sequel, but it'll surely keep fans hooked and satisfied when it comes out on theatres. It'll be an animated short similar to Tangled Ever After, and it's reportedly slated for release next year.
Disney also plans to release a sing-along Frozen DVD, out on November. The "Frozen 2" sequel, if confirmed, comes as introduction to the Cinderella feature film next March (source: metro.co.uk).
