Today ends months of rumors as to who will take the role of the villain "Black Adam" - but for what DC movie? That is something that is yet to be announced, Yahoo News reported. It is still uncertain if "Shazam", a DC Comics hero formerly known as "Captain Marvel", will be the focus of the movie or the flick will all be about "Black Adam".

"Black Adam" as Dwayne Johnson is perfect for the role as he is said to have been given special powers by ancient Egyptian gods. He was blessed with "unlimited stamina, super-speed, incredible strength, vast wisdom, the power of flight, and unlimited courage."

New Line Cinema President and COO Toby Emmerich told Variety: "We Love Dwayne and have had nothing but success with him over the years. When I look at Dwayne both off screen and on screen, he is such a larger than life character and it just made perfect sense to me that we put him in a DC comic movie. You look at these comic book characters and they have this certain swag and charisma that Dwayne carries with him where ever he is so that's why this always made sense."

According to Hollywood Reporter, Black Adam first appeared in "The Marvel Family No. 1" in 1945. He has the same powers as "Captain Marvel's". He dishonored "Shazam" that he was made to disappear in outer space. He returned to Earth, said a magic word, and became human again.
