Fans waited seven years for Hilary Duff's new album and it looks like they would have to wait a couple more months to finally hear it.
The 'Chasing The Sun' singer reluctantly announced her album's delay on Twitter last August 30. Although she would have to wait a couple more months to greet her fans with new music, she's still quite grateful for the excitement that people showed for it.
"Guys hate to break this news but the album won't be out in October... You will have to wait a few more months. Love all the excitement tho," Duff told her more than four million followers on the microblogging site.
The singer-actress already gave fans a taste of her new music with the catchy summer song, 'Chasing The Sun,' which was released in July. She also introduced the more mature pop song, 'All About You,' through a lyric video in August.
Hilary Duff's new album will be "very positive," the 26-year-old singer promised fans in August via an interview with Billboard. Although it will feature upbeat tracks, the songs she will put out will talk mainly about her life and the effect of her separation with her husband, Mike Comrie.
Although she and pro hockey player Mike Cormie announced their separation in January, the pair reportedly stayed friends and are raising Luca together.
She added, "...there's a song called 'If I Fall,' which is about me taking a step back and kind of shutting down my whole business, and everyone not believing in me and me being really scared to be alone after I'd been surrounded by 100 people for five years of my life."
Hilary Duff's new album, which was supposed to be out October 14, will be her first music release since 'Dignity' in 2007.
After announcing the delay on social media, the Daily Mail spotted Hilary Duff out and about with her son. The mother of one was dressed casually as she took Luca to Fred Segal in West Hollywood for shopping.
If fans can wait seven years for Hilary Duff's new album, a couple more months would be nothing to them.
