IFA Berlin 2014, a yearly consumer electronics show, is yet to start on Sept. 5 but the last few weeks had already indicated that expectations are high as to which tech company and what new products will steal the limelight.

IFA becomes the launching venue for technological firms like Samsung. Last year, it became a host to Samsung's launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear, and venue to Sony's announcement of Xperia Z1.

However, Samsung announced the coming of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 'phablet', Samsung Gear VR wireless headset, and Galaxy Note Edge on Sept. 3 in its Unpacked Event - before the IFA. In the same day, Sony unveiled Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Compact tablet in its own press event.

Today, Microsoft is set to hold its press conference, where it is believed to present the so-called "Superman mid-ranger selfie phone" and "Tesla phone". Nokia, on the other hand, is expected to introduce three mobile devices - Lumia 830, Lumia 930, and Lumia 730.

With these companies' introduction of new products prior to IFA Berlin 2014, it only made the annual event more exciting as many tech observers are already eager to go to the affair as they expect to personally see, touch, and test these and other tech companies' new babies - smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.

Announcements from HTC, LG, Acer, Lenovo, Huawei, and Asus are also anticipated at IFA.

Internationally-renowned IFA event will be without Apple. The company pointed out that it will have its own event on Sept. 9. On this date, it is assumed that Apple will unveil the next iPhone - the new iPhone 6 - and the highly anticipated iWatch - said to be Apple's creative version of smartwatch. A lot of speculations will (or may) end after this date.
