Netflix and Facebook have merged in a project that will surely benefit just about anybody.
Now, Netflix and Facebook has made sharing of favourite movies possible, as reported by Tech News World. Netflix now lets its users pick the friends they'd like to engage in a movie conversation with. Users can do this after viewing the movie's trailer, as reported by Tech News World.
Before, Netflix and Facebook worked together in letting the users share their favourite movies, to all friends, at a default setting.
Things have been different now , though. In a Tech News World interview, Jan Dawson, chief analyst at JackDaw Research said:
"It makes more sense that way."
"The problem with most of us on Facebook is that the people we're friends with there are a combination of school friends we haven't seen for 20 years, family members, people from our workplace, people we're close to, and people we're not close to -- so the scattershot approach to sharing doesn't work that well when you're recommending stuff."
"This is a good way to narrow down that range a bit."
Users have found their Netflix and Facebook experiences as more favourable recently. According to Tech News World, users usually had second thoughts in tying up their Netflix and Facebook accounts.
Cliff Edwards, a Netflix executive told Tech News World:
"The majority of our U.S. consumers were a little leery about connecting through Facebook. There was some concern about whether you were spamming your friends,"
"It wasn't clear what the benefit was to them,"
"This new iteration offers a clear and easy-to-understand benefit to people."
