Fans hoping for more LA Lakers news will be delighted to know that Kobe Bryant is looking to make his comeback a platform to inspire others, particularly the youth. Meanwhile, his former teammate Metta World Peace listed down the "10 components" that make up the Black Mamba.

In an interview as part of the Nike RISE campaign, Kobe Bryant said: "Hopefully it'll inspire them to understand that overcoming is part of the deal, part of living. When you are faced with those types of challenges, you have two options, one you can shy away from it, do nothing about it or you can rise to the challenge," he said.

"Doesn't matter if you are a basketball player or a writer, we all have obstacles, hopefully what we'll do here is inspire everyone else to do the same," he added.

LA Lakers news sites are divided on whether or not Kobe Bryant can still be in top form when he comes back after two massive injuries, particularly on his Achilles which has cut short the playing careers of several athletes in the NBA.

However, Kobe Bryant is determined to prove his critics wrong as he still thinks that the Lakers can make noise in the playoffs even with the current roster.

Meanwhile, Metta World Peace sent LA Lakers news buzzing when he wrote forCourtside Access about his thoughts about Kobe Bryant, per Lakers Nation:

"Over the years people have constantly asked me 'What makes a player great?' or 'What does it take to play in the NBA?' or better yet 'What makes Kobe...well Kobe?' So I decided to try something a little different and put together my own 'Top 10 Components' of what makes Kobe one of the best players to ever play the game.

According to Lakers Nation, quoting Metta World Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest but reportedly wants to change name again to Panda's Friend): the top components of Kobe Bryant are his focus, fundamentals, shoes, eyes, post-up game, three-ball, clutch, the fadeaway, killer instinct, the comparisons (to Michael Jordan, no doubt), and the return.
