The 2011 "X-Factor" finalist Simone Battle has found dead on Friday morning at her house in Los Angeles, county coroner's department said.
Her father Anthony Battle told MailOnline that the 25-year-old singer was found lifeless at 8 a.m. and expressed his grief, "She will be greatly missed and loved. She was an exuberant person and a very loved person."
Although Mr. Battle said that the cause of death of the singer is still under investigation, law enforcement sources said to TMZ that "it was an apparent suicide".
Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, and Paula Abdul, who were the judges during Battle's stint at "X-Factor" expressed their sympathy, with Cowell tweeted, "I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person. It's such a loss. Rest in peace, Simone."
Abdul said on a tweet, "My heart & prayers go out 2 @GRLSimone's family, band mates, & loved ones. Such a beautiful sweet promising star. May she rest in peace. xoP" Cole also sent her condolences on a tweet, "Such tragically sad news to hear of the passing of Simone battle.. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones #RIPSimone."
After taking the top 17 spot at "X-Factor", Simone Battle joined in 2012 the all-girl group G.R.L., which was originally formed to re-boot Pussycat Dolls. The band got its breakthrough with the hit song "Wild Wild Love".
Reign Deer Entertainment Kemosabe Records, Robin Antin, and RCA records released an official statement: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time."
Last April in an interview with People, Battle said on her singing career, "We'd all been pursuing careers in the industry on our own, but once we found each other, we realized we wanted to do it together. It felt so right. The chemistry was perfect."
