As Manny Pacquiao's next fight approaches, Freddie Roach has promised that Chris Algieri will be taken care of. The famed trainer also believes that "Pacman" will begin winning by knockout once again if he does go back down to 140 pounds.

Manny Pacquiao's next fight is scheduled against Chris Algieri on November 22nd at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China. It will be "Pacman's" second fight in the said country since he faced Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios in November 2013.

During the months leading up to the fight, Freddie Roach has always been known for his sheer confidence towards his fighters, particularly his most prized ward, Manny Pacquiao. For the upcoming match-up against Chris Algieri, the famed trainer was in his usual outspoken self.

"The guys who move away, thing is they give him a little more difficulty," Roach said about Algieri in an interview with Marcos Villegas of Fight Hub. "But we have to cut the ring off, maybe set traps, and that's what we're going to do in training camp."

The famed trainer also further elaborated on their strategy, but rightfully so, did not give away their entire gameplan.

"I've got three runners coming in for training camp and we will take care of it," he added about Manny Pacquiao's next fight. "Thing is it is a little more difficult for us, yes, but it's not impossible to take that jab away from him [Algieri] because all Manny needs to do is get a little bit close to take that away."

Freddie Roach also believes that Manny Pacquiao needs to go back down to 140 pounds at light welterweight to begin winning by knockout once again. The eight-division world champion's last fight at the said weight class was against Ricky Hatton in 2009, which he finished via a second round highlight reel knockout.

"I think 140 is a more natural weight for him," Roach continued. "I think the knockouts will start coming again."
