Moto 360 watch price, release date: The much awaited circular smartwatch from Motorola is now out in the market. According to The Verge, it started its sale in the market last September 5. Buyers can choose from black or the limited edition gray leather strap with the base price of $249.99. The two metal versions coming this fall are reportedly amounting to $299.99. According to reports, metal bands are sold separately for $79.99 later on while leather straps are $29.99 by themselves.

Forbes recounted the key focus in developing the Moto 360 was "style and craft" according to Charlie Tritschler, Motorola Senior Vice President of Products, and Magnus Ahlqvist, Motorola Corporate Vice President of EMEA and APAC.

Reportedly, this wearable gadget includes aircraft-grade stainless steel and a choice of leather or metal wrist bands. However, sapphire display is not found instead it use Corning GLW -0.85% Gorilla Glass 3. Moto 360 measures 1.5-inches and packs a 320 x 290 native resolution.

According to Forbes, Motorola equipped the Moto 360 with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage but its choice of a TI OMAP 3 processor made it fall behind Snapdragon 400 chipset slightly. The Moto 360 also features a heart rate monitor, pedometer and dual microphones in addition to its fast evolving Android Wear operating system.

In addition, Moto 360 is said to be IP67 water resistance. This rating shows that Motorola's wearable smartwatch can be used while in the shower but not during swimming. This gadget is connected to a smartphone using Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, requiring an OS running on Android 4.3 or higher to be compatible with Android Wear.

Aside from launching the Moto 360 in IFA last week, the company also announce a major refresh of its product line including a new Moto X, new Moto G, unexpected announcement of the mysterious but excited 'Hint'.
