TiVo mega's showcased its enormous features that will benefit several users.
According to Tech News World, TiVo mega features an enormous 24 terabytes recording space. This space will be sufficient to hold over 26,000 hours of standard version videos or an equivalent of 4,000 hours of HD video.
The enormous TiVo mega should be available in the market within the initial months of 2015. It will have 12 times double the capacity of a regular DVR.
The TiVo mega should work for any user who may want to constantly keep all the contents. The only downside is, users will need to shell out $5,000 for purchasing this device, as reported in Tech News World:
TiVo Mega is aimed at audio/video enthusiasts who insist on the biggest and best equipment available."
"We think the TiVo interface is ideally suited to manage a library of this size."
Ira Hahr, TiVo chief marketing executive made these comments when he was interviewed by Tech News World.
The TiVo mega features six tuners, a back-up aid for TiVo's overall home solution apps, has the capability to transfer live stream TV shows and audio recordings to the user's tablet, smart phone or PC.
Susan Schreiner, a C4 Trends analyst, said in an interview with Tech News World:
"It's a video addict's greatest dream."
"It is flamboyant, enables never deleting content, and [fulfills] a hoarder's fondest wishes," she said. "TiVo seems to be making a statement focusing on 'bigger is better' -- particularly with TiVo's deals with other video-streaming providers."
