"Scandal" season 4 is almost here but where exactly on Earth is Olivia Pope?

Last season, the remarkable Ms. Pope opted to free herself from all the drama and troubles brought about working for the president of the United States, Mr. Fitzgerald, according to TV Line.

After being convinced by his father to break away from it all, Pope decided to board the plane and focus on herself.

The latest teaser clip released by ABC leaves fans wondering where exactly did she go and will she ever consider going back to her so-called family?

In the clip, a phone rings continuously but no one is there to pick up the call. Apparently, it was the president trying to reach Pope who was actually enjoying some "me time" at the beach.

The teaser ends with the question, "Where on Earth is Olivia Pope?" and fans will definitely find out this coming September 25 when the show returns for its first episode of the fourth season.

Meanwhile, other than the never ending searching for Pope, "Scandal" creators have also teased fans with what they may expect this season.

A synopsis for Thursday night's kickoff episode entitled "Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia" has been published and it read, "Nearly two months after Olivia and Jake boarded a private jet to stand in the sun together, everything has changed."

"With another four years in the White House, Fitz and Cyrus are doing everything they can to make a positive impact on the nation. Meanwhile, Mellie struggles to cope with the loss of her son and the gladiators feel the impact of Olivia's absence."

As of late, the guest stars that will appear throughout season 4 have not yet been revealed, so this obviously adds more thrill to fans who are curious as to what may happen next on the show, Cartermatt reported.

Show creator Shonda Rhimes previously confirmed that there will be a no-spoilers policy for "Scandal."
