"King Arthur" movie will now be featuring Charlie Hunnam instead of Jamie Dornan. It looks like Hunnam is venturing into another era, as he comes from being the prince of today's most notorious motorcycle club, to rising to a king.
It would seem that Hunnam is now having the last laugh on Dornan, now that he has "bagged" the epic role of being King Arthur, especially after Dornan replaced him in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise.
The 34-year-old star of "Sons of Anarchy" was actually replaced by the 32-year-old Dornan in the upcoming sexy romantic "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise. However, Hunnam might decide to return the favor by pulling the "King Arthur" spot from right under Dornan, especially after some online reports have indicated that the hunk from Northern Ireland was a fan favorite to portray the king.
The director of the upcoming "King Arthur" blockbuster is Guy Ritchie, and he has confirmed that Hunnam has always been his first choice to portray the role of the legendary King Arthur. To date, no word has been provided about whether or not Hunnam has accepted the role, as it is still "in negotiations."
Hunnam was the first actor selected to play the role of the amazingly handsome Christian Grey, which was also referred to by many as a "mommy porn" franchise. However, Hunnam decided to pass off the opportunity to be part of this internationally famous book-to-movie adaptation as there was a major scheduling conflict with his top-rated TV series, "Sons of Anarchy."
Dornan, meanwhile, opted to drop the "King Arthur" franchise, which is a possible six-movie deal project with Warner Bros., as it reportedly clashed with his commitments for "Fifty Shades of Grey." However, a source has stated, "Jamie is keen on the role and his US agents are keen to work out a deal where he'll be able to do both franchises."
