Mighty No. 9 release date might be in April next year according to Hallels.com. This is an upcoming action-platform video game developed by Comcept and Inti Creates, and produced by Keiji Inafune, as posted on Wikipedia.

According to the source, 'the creation of the game was based on the online crowdfunding website."

Hallels said the inspiration of this upcoming movie is Onimusha and not Mega Man. The source also cited Siliconera interview with Onimusha. During the interview, the lead designer Keiji Inafune reveal the inspiration of the movie. He said:

"There's never been really something I couldn't put in a Mega Man that I'm now putting into Mighty No. 9. That being said, the sort of key areas we've drawn inspiration from - and this may be surprising for some people to hear - rather than Mega Man, it's Onimusha."

Keiji also added, "In Onimusha, you had a system where the end user would be put into a scenario where they had to either suck a soul to get the soul bonus or attack an oncoming enemy."

Mr. Keiji and his team plans to add an "absorption dash" in the game, game feature that allows 'the player to engage the enemy from a safe distance then dash or charge through the enemy when he is already vulnerable. Player can also simply keep hitting the enemy from the safe distance without the need for contact."

Siliconera.com also mentioned that a beta version of the game is available to Kickstarter backers who reportedly pledged $80 or more for developing.
