"Ted 2" movie news update reveals that from playing God himself, it will be a considerable downgrade for Morgan Freeman as he joins cast as a lawyer. While the plot for the movie is kept under wraps, it's been reported that John and his loyal teddy might go on a road trip.
According to the "Ted 2" movie news from Variety, Morgan Freeman would be playing a civil rights lawyer who is considered an icon in his field. When Ted needs some legal advice, he turns to Freeman.
Reportedly, Seth MacFarlane-who will be directing and writing the movie was well as voicing Ted-wanted a big name actor to join the gang and has set his eyes on Morgan Freeman, who played God in "Bruce Almighty."
In the sequel, Mila Kunis, who played John's girlfriend competing for Ted's attention, will not be in the cast owning to her pregnancy. Amanda Seyfried has joined the cast, however, to play John's girlfriend who will be at odds with his relationship with Ted.
More "Ted 2" movie news was reported by Slash Film, which said that filming is now ongoing in Mark Wahlberg's hometown of Boston. The film is scheduled for release on June 26, 2015.
"The new casting is part of a larger plan to fill the 'Ted 2' supporting cast with famous pop culture figures (like William Shatner) and A-listers out of their element," Slash Filmsaid.
Previous "Ted 2" movie news claimed that John and Ted might take their high jinks on the road, although that couldn't be confirmed as of now.
Mark Wahlberg's earlier admitted to Screen Rant that John has not settled in to family life.
"That wouldn't be any fun. No, no, no, they're crazier than ever," he said during the "Transformers 4" presser.
The website said that Mark Wahlberg had hinted in previous interviews that Ted and John would be on the road, "so at this point it would appear some kind of road trip is in store for the two buddies."
