Users may avail of further discounts when purchasing their PS Plus free games subscription for September if they have a Target Red Card. A Target Red Card holder may avail of the 5% discount in membership fee, with the total subscription fee to be paid amounting to $37.99, inclusive of tax, according to The Examiner.

The discounts available are tied with a PS Plus code, and not directly related to the users' card. Users will receive the PS Plus Code emailed to them. They can redeem their benefits using this code as a reference when they make their purchases at any PSN store.

PS 4 users do need place a subscription with PS Plus if they would like to play the multi-player games of their choices. Free-to-play, MMO , Store and Explore Missions are not tied in with the PS Plus membership. Matchmaking Destiny games such as Strike Missions and the Crucible do require premium subscription if PS Plus.
