"Community" season 6 news are starting to excite fans. With the comedy show getting another chance on Yahoo Screen after it was axed by NBC, people are asking what is the Greendale gang up to?

For starters, "Community" pilot episode and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" directors Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed their return next season. The duo is set to direct the first episode of season 6.

Anthony shared the good news in an interview with IGN, "We will be returning. We're going to do the first episode [of Season 6] for those guys. We're going to have a little fun with that episode. [Community executive producers] Dan Harmon and Chris McKenna are cooking up something very cool for us..."

And despite their busy schedules, they both considered directing "Community" episodes as rewarding.

"The quality is always so high for the scripts on that show, so it's very exciting to tear into one of those scripts as a director."

Meanwhile, other "Community" season 6 news confirmed the return of cast members from the previous seasons.

IGN reported, "Alison Brie is under contract for Season 6, along with Joel McHale, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash. All seven of these actors are expected to be a part of the new season. Now keep in mind we don’t know if this means that they’ll all be in all 13 episodes, but you should expect to see Jeff, Shirley, Annie, Britta, Abed, Chang and the Dean again in these new episodes."

This answers rumors of fans speculating that Alison Brie will not be coming back to reprise her role next season. Even "Community" show creator Dan Harmon confirmed her return.
