After the success of the various TV superhero series from DC Comics, it looks like Warner Brothers TV will be adding another series into the fray soon.
According to Deadline, the pilot episode for a 'Teen Titans' live action series is currently waiting for the green light from TNT.
'Arrow' season 4, 'The Flash,' 'Constantine' and 'Gotham' are already lined up for primetime debut this year.
Deadline also reports that another DC Comics series, 'Supergirl' is already in production. Greg Berlanti, 'Arrow' and 'The Flash' producer, reportedly teamed up with 'Chuck' and 'Glee' writer Ali Adler for the new superhero show.
On the other hand, the 'Teen Titans' live action series, entitled 'Titans,' will be produced by Oscar-winning Akiva Goldsman. He will team up with Mark Haimes to write the live action adaptation's pilot episode.
Slashfilm reports that Goldman originally planned to make a full-length movie for the hero group but has now focused on creating the series instead.
'Titans' will revolve around Dick Grayson, who is best known as Batman's sidekick Robin, and his "eponymous group of young Super Heroes-to-be from the DC Universe."
Instead of keeping his image as Robin, he breaks free from Batman's shadow and becomes Nightwing. He turns into a 20-something leader of fearless young heroes like Starfire, Raven, Cyborg, and others.
The 'Teen Titans' live action is one of the three new shows that have been kept on hold due to a regime change at TNT. The animated adaptation of the DC heroes, 'Teen Titans' and 'Teen Titans Go! was aired on sister company, Cartoon Network from 2003-2006.
No word yet on who would play Robin or Nightwing, Raven, Starfire, Beastboy, Deathstroke or Cyborg. Should the series push through, who would best portray Nightwing?
