He may be compared to Justin Bieber most of the time but by the time Austin Mahone's new album drops, people will hopefully see his own color.

According to St. Louis-Dispatch, the young heartthrob thinks the comparison to the notorious Canadian singer is "obnoxious."

"They see a young kid who sings and dances and ... they're like, 'Oh another Justin Bieber.' Like, you don't even know. You don't know me. You don't know my music. You're just making assumptions," the 18-year-old said regarding the constant comparison.

Despite doing a cover of Bieber's 'Mistletoe,' Mahone wants people to listen to his music first before comparing him to the 'Beauty And the Beat' singer.

Furthermore, it looks like he's almost ready to show the world his real color. He told Cleveland.com that he will be focusing on his first full length album after his tour with Fifth Harmony and The Vamps.

His own tour as well as joining other artists on the road helped him figure what he still lacked as a musician and as a performer. Austin Mahone's new album will hopefully embody the positive lessons he learned from those artists.

"Being on tour with Taylor Swift, I just took away how hard she's probably worked to get to that point," the 'Say Something' singer told Cleveland.com. "It made me realize I have a lot of work ahead of me and I'm ready [to] go in."

Signed to Lil Wayne's Cash Money/Young Money music label, he will be staying in Miami to work on his follow up to his EP, 'The Secret.'

The EP, which was released earlier this year, contains the hit collaboration with Pitbull, 'Mmm Yeah.'

"I may not be the best dancer or the best performer right now, but I'm always getting better," he promised. "Next year I'll be even better than I am now. And the year after that, I'll just keep getting better."

What are you looking forward to the most for Austin Mahone's new album?
