Cleveland Cavaliers Roster 2015 News: Lebron James, Kevin Love, Mike Miller and James Jones Are In, Will They Win The Championship Next Season?

Tags

With all the moves and wheeling-and-dealing that the Cleveland Cavaliers did over the past several weeks, their current roster is built to seriously contend and go for the NBA championship and there is no question about that. Beginning with the re-signing of their former superstar Lebron James, who left them 4 years ago for personal gain, they also added other pieces like veteran shooters Mike Miller and James Jones who can hit from beyond the arc and loosen up things inside for The King and other players to work the lane. They also finalized a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves that landed them one of the league's top power forwards Kevin Love and sent their, 2013-14 #1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins whom, to a lot out there including Kobe Bryant, may develop into an all around superstar with his solid offense-defense play. They also sent their former #1 pick from 2012-13 Anthony Bennett to the Wolves in the process of acquiring Kevin Love.

They also got Brendan Haywood to add a veteran inside presence and is still looking to add the playoff veteran Chauncey Billups, the one time NBA Finals MVP and leader of the Pistons that quashed the "all-mighty" Lakers in the 2004 Finals, for that winning factor and attitude to rub off on the other playoff untested Cavs despite him being close to 37 years of age and suffering from injuries of the hardcourt wars he has been through. This just goes to show how committed the Cavaliers are to make a run for the title. More or less all the tools are there to win. The big question is, if they don't, who will take the blame for it. It's going to be hard to imagine that the 3 superstars of Lebron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love won't do their thing night in and night out from the regular season to the post season (this is where we all expect them to be after all) but it's factors like injuries, teamwork and coaching strategies that will be a bit unpredictable for this newly assembled juggernaut of the East. The veterans would rely on the energy and athleticism of the younger guys like Dion Waiters, Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson.
