Rumors about Maksim Chmerkovskiy's former fiancé'' Karina Smirnoff having a relationship with Maks is taking center stage.
Despite alleged rumors about spending time with J Lo, Maks decided to stay low on questions about the former American Idol Judge.
The 45-year old actress told news reporters that she wants to stay single after divorcing Marc Anthony from Puerto Rico. She was sensitive about introducing another man to her children since the divorce had a big impact on her kids.
She felt she is not ready to introduce another man to the children.
On an interview with 'Good Day New York', Maks was annoyed about all the fuss about who he was dating saying, "Can't I have friends? It seems that any person I come in contact with if it's a girl, a female all of a sudden there is a romance," Breathecast.com reported.
Life & Style reported, however, that Maksim and Karina would get back to together again after the DWTS contestants failed to go through with their engagement in 2009. But the report claims Maks has proposed to Karina for a second time.

Maks appears to have a full dating lifestyle having had relationships with Kate Upton, Meryl Davis, J Lo, and maybe Kirstie Allie, who stopped talking to Maksim after he left the dancing show.
Things heated up for Maksim since him and dance partner and Olympic skating champ Meryl Davis won the 18th episode of the Dancing with the Stars.
Maks said he had incredible chemistry with Davis on the dance floor. Most recently, the DWTS dancer was linked to J.Lo, singer and fashion desinger. Reports in early September said that Latina superstar, who performed at the World Cup 2014 Brazil, said that Lopez was ready to shack up with Maks.
