The "Dracula Untold" trailer is a dark pleasurable teaser that provides viewers a better look at the tale behind the darkness, which enveloped the purported first vampire in history. Excellent scenes set against Lorde's haunting music produced astounding results that are anything but light.

UK Yahoo said that the eerie rendition was taken from the 1985 original new wave hit "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by "Tears for Fears." The "Dracula Untold" trailer at IBN Live opens with the words coming from the cryptic creature of the mountains responsible for giving Prince Vlad (Luke Evans) his powers.

The first few scenes shows a desperate Vlad willing to submit himself to the force of the night just to save his kingdom from the rapidly advancing army of Turks. Then as the scenes fade out to give way to the part that flashes "This year," Lorde's haunting vocals sails through..."Welcome to your life. There is no turning back, "she sings.

Then the "Dracula Untold" trailer progressed to show scenes that tell how Vlad eventually adapted to his newly found powers and the hefty price they demanded in return. With this comes the reaction of the people around him including his enemies.

When Vlad (Luke Evans) explained to his wife why he had sacrificed himself to the darkness, his words captured the urgency that had driven him to become the first vampire.

"Because men do not fear swords, they fear monsters."

According to UK Yahoo, the tale was set during the 15th century of European history. The fictitious Dracula was believed to have been inspired by Vlad III. A real Romanian royalty, he was the Prince of Wallachia. He had fought the Ottoman empire to keep them from taking over his kingdom. Accordingly, he had killed an estimated 20,000 Turks during one of their battles.
