The "Queen of the Desert" actress Nicole Kidman's father reportedly died in a hotel in Singapore after an accidental fall last week. Meanwhile, Keith Urban's wife is also seeking for privacy and respect for her bereaved family after her father's untimely demise.
According to Daily Mail, Dr. Anthony Kidman accidentally fell from his hotel after having breakfast while visiting his youngest daughter Antonia and his six grandchildren.
Dr. Kidman, who was in his 80s, was reportedly taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in the morning but was pronounced dead later, according to Channel News Asia.
"The Queen of the Desert" actress Nicole Kidman's last outing with his father was in June when they walked the red carpet together with husband Keith Urban at the Swisse Celebrate Life Ball in Melbourne.
Dr. Kidman was also seen last seen with his family in Sydney, Australia in January for the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of his marriage to wife Janelle.
Nicole Kidman was previously quoted calling her father as a "great man" whom she could depend on any time.
"The Queen of the Desert" actress Nicole Kidman also added, "He's a great father, I can call him at three in the morning and he's there for me."
Dr. Kidman was a renowned clinical psychologist who made name for his research into the psycho-social impact of diseases that includes breast cancer. Dr. Kidman was also awarded an Order of Australia in 2005 for his contributions to clinical psychology.
The father of Keith Urban's wife also ran community service seminars that focused on the field of mental health. He was also a regular commentator on radio and television and has already written numerous academic journals.
Dr Kidman was a clinical psychologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and a director of health psychology at the University of Technology Sydney.
Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman recently arrived in Singapore after the sudden death of her father, the Daily Mail said.
According to a statement from the actress, as reported by her publicist Leslee Dart, the family was in deep grief over the death of their father and she is truly appreciative of the support of people.
They are also seeking for privacy and respect at present for their bereaved family after the Kidman patriarch's sudden death.
