Tito Ortiz's next fight is still two months away, but "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" almost came to blows with his opponent. He went on to explain the said feud, saying that things got way too personal.
Tito Ortiz's next fight is scheduled against UFC Hall-of-Famer and fellow veteran "The American Psycho" Stephan Bonnar on November 15 at Bellator 131 in San Diego, California.
In a report by MMA Fighting, a feud erupted inside the cage, as the fight announcement was officially made. As Bonnar held on the mic to speak, he brought along with him a masked man as he made his rants about Ortiz.
"Everyone says the same thing," Bonnar said about Tito Ortiz's next fight. He's the most selfish, self-absorbed, arrogant sack of crap they have ever met. The only thing bigger than his head is his inflated ego."
"The American Psycho" also tagged Ortiz's ex-wife, adult film actress Jenna Jameson, in one of his statements.
"All I got to say to you is poor Jenna," Bonnar continued. "I don't know how she put up with you all those years."
"The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" issued his responses about the incident in his latest appearance on Ariel Helwani's online show, The MMA Hour.
"I've seen some guy with a mask was with him, and, I don't know," Ortiz explained. "It just kind of caught me off guard I was like 'who's this guy.' Then I was like, OK, he must think I'm going to smack him or something. He's got security with him."
The former UFC light heavyweight champion went on to defend himself, saying that Bonnar crossed the line when the latter began bringing in personal matters into the conversation.
"[Bonnar] started talking smack saying I need money to pay for my family because my chick took all my money or my ex-chick took all my money," Ortiz said. "You don't say s-- like that, dude. Seriously. All the same, none of it was true for one. You're saying lies about a person you don't even know about. And it ticked me off."
