Robin Thicke has finally dished on the real reason his estranged wife, Paula Patton, ended their marriage.
The "Blurred Lines" singer shocked the entire world after he admitted that he and his wife are no longer together and multiple sources speculated that the split had something to do with his risqué performance with Miley Cyrus at last year's MTV Video Music Awards.
Now, Thicke has revealed that his wife left him after he admitted to being high on Vicodin and alcohol, according to FOX News.
The singer also confessed that he was never sober at the time he was promoting his sit single the entire year of 2013, the same publication noted.
"Every day I woke up, I would take a Vicodin to start the day and then I would fill up a water bottle with vodka and drink it before and during my interviews. I don't recall many things that I said. In fact, I was quite surprised when I read them back sometimes," his court depositions read.
Thicke also revealed that he was high on drugs and alcohol when he wrote the song "Got to Give Up," the NY Daily News reported.
"I was high on Vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio. My recollection is when we made the song... I wanted to be more involved than I actually was by the time, nine months later, it became a huge hit and I wanted credit."
In a previous interview with GQ Magazine back in May of last year, Thicke said, "Pharrell and I were in the study and I told him that one of my favorite songs of all time was Marvin Gaye's 'Got to Give It Up.' I was like, 'Damn, we should make something like that, something with that groove.' Then he started playing something and we literally wrote the song in about a half hour and recorded it."
