Microsoft to buy Minecraft is about to materialize in the market.

According to Silicon Beat, Microsoft recently admitted that it has closed a deal to purchase Mojang. Mojang is a Swedish maker of Minecraft. Reports alleged that the deal was closed for $2.5 billion, as reported in Silicon Beat. This deal will be formalized in a close agreement at the later part of the year.

Microsoft is scheduled to buy Minecraft, as the game's three founders are expected to disengage from the game. Microsoft Studios will take over Mojang. "Halo" and "Fable" are the other games which fall under the specialties of Microsoft Studios, as reported in Silicon Beat.

The announcement of Microsoft buying Minecraft, and a new management on the horizons has worried many of the game's fans and users. One of the concerns of the fans was the possible negative effects that a management change will produce on the foundations of the game.

In a report from the Silicon Beat, it was reported that a leading Minecraft had a fan post echoing worries about the game's future:

"We all know Microsoft would find some way to murder the game,"

"I worry for the future of Minecraft."

One of the game's original founders, Markus "Notch" Persson released a statement to share his sentiments about the news:

"I love you. All of you,"

"Thank you for turning Minecraft into what it has become, but there are too many of you, and I can't be responsible for something this big."
