"Married at First Sight" Season 1 finale delivered a new record as it gained 903,000 total viewers, according to FYI news release. It also gathered 494,000 adults with ages 25 to 54, and 395,000 adults with ages 18 to 49.
Clearly, these numbers showed significant growth from its series premiere - +234% on total viewers, +302% on adults 25-54, and + 165% on adults 18-49.
As everyone knows by now, Jamie and Doug, and Cortney and Jason decided to stay married, while Monet and Vaughn made the decision to divorce. With two couples choosing to be together even after the "Married at First Sight" Season 1 finale, does it mean that the social experiment docuseries is an accomplishment?
Viewers have concluded that the answer to this question is "yes". But they can change their conclusions or prove the success of the show once they get to watch the "Married at First Sight: Six Months Later Special" on Sept. 16 at 9pm ET.
The audience will hear more from the three couples. For the first time, all three pairs and the four experts will be in one room together to discuss the social experiment and its outcome. Kevin Frazier of "Entertainment Tonight" will host the show.
But this is not all after the "Married at First Sight" Season 1 finale.
There will be another special that viewers can look forward to - "Married at First Sight: Unveiled". It will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 9pm ET. They will see never-before-seen moments from the weddings to the honeymoons, and more bonus videos.
