With the release of the new iPhone 6, fans are now asking when is the iPad Air 2 release date?
After the iPhone launch, Apple users have been on the look-out for the next apple product release. It has been speculated that the iPad Air 2 will be launched anytime this year. But how true are the rumors?
"We think the upgraded iPad Air will be launched earlier in 2014 than the iPad Air was in 2013. We previously thought Apple would not release a new version of the iPad Mini this year, but we now think Apple will launch an upgraded version with same form factor," a source told MacRumors.
According to Christian Today: "The next generation of tablets was speculated to be nearing their debut since the current models are offered at a discounted price. Apple slashed $30 educational discount on iPad Air and $20 price off on the iPad Mini Retina."
Aside from having major improvements on its speed and performance the iPad Air 2 will have Apple's fingerprint scanner technology called Touch ID which first debuted on the iPhone 5S.
It is also rumored that it will have an integrated display into its front panel making it much thinner and lighter. On top of that, it is also believed to have a 64-bit architecture for faster performance and an Intel chip-set just like those in Macbooks.
The tablet will also run on iOS 8 and will have an 8 megapixel camera. However, there is one rumored feature that will definitely capture the attention of many.
The new iPad is rumored to be waterproof. While there is no confirmation on that speculation yet, Apple users will surely just have to stay up to date on the latest announcements from Apple.
The iPad Air 2 was speculated to have a June 2014 release date in time for Apple's WWDC. But users didn't see that happen, so an October release date has been suggested in different reports.
