The release date for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has been revealed along with a new trailer from Tokyo Game Show 2014.
According to reports from VG24/7, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be released on March 2015 for the new consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The following dates are set on March 17 in North America, March 19 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe.
Along with the release date comes the new trailer and it showcased some new and impressive gameplay. Here is the trailer below.
But, the biggest surprise of them all is that a demo version of Final Fantasy XV will be bundled in the game as Square Enix explained it won’t be on-disc as new copies of Type-0 will include a code to download the playable demo.
The demo is called Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae and “includes elements from the opening sections of the full game, but alters story progression and more to create a unique first-play experience”.
But sadly all things good had a terrible price to pay as Square Enix announced that Tetsuya Nomura will no longer handle FFXV and has named Type-0's Hajime Tabata as the new director of the game as he cited that he wanted to focus more on the development of Kingdom Hearts 3.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is High Definition version of the PlayStation Portable game which was released on October 27, 2011. Type-0 is part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries, a set of games sharing a common mythos which includes Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XV.The game focuses on the stories of Class Zero, a group of twelve magic-endowed students from the Peristylium, a magical academy in the Dominion of Rubrum. One day, the Milites Empire launches an assault on the other nations of Orience, seeking to control their respective crystals. When Rubrum is attacked, Class Zero are called into action and become entangled in both the efforts to push back and defeat the forces of Milites, and the secret behind the war and the existence of the crystals. The setting and presentation was inspired by historical documentaries, and the story itself was written to be darker than other Final Fantasy titles.
