America first met the 13 pairs of 'Dancing With The Stars' season 19 last Monday. On Tuesday, one pair had to leave the show.
The partners - actor Jonathan Bennett with Allison Holker, UFC champion Randy Couture with Karina Smirnoff, Olympic athlete Lolo Jones with Keoikantse Motsepe, actor Tommy Chong with Peta Murgatroyd, 'Pretty Little Liars' actress Janel Parrish with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, 'Duck Dynasty' star Sadie Robertson with Mark Ballas, talk show host Tavis Smiley with Sharna Burgess, YouTuber Bethany Mota with Derek Hough, racing champion Michael Waltrip with Emma Slater, actress Lea Thompson with Artem Chigvintsev, actor-model Antonio Sabato Jr. with Cheryl Burke, and 'Fresh Prince of LA' star Alfonso Ribeiro with Witney Carson - tried their feet at cha cha cha, jive, foxtrot, and more.
Unsurprisingly, Ribeiro and Carson got the highest scores, 36 out of 40, after their incredible routine at the premiere. Robertson and pro partner Ballas came in second with 34 points.
Despite the surprising routines from the new contestants, The 'Dancing With The Stars' season 19 premiere came with some missteps.
Fashion designer Betsey Johnson had to improvise a split after failing to get a boa from a clothes rack as choreographed. She ultimately received one of the two lowest scores in the competition with partner Tony Dovolani.
Olympian Lolo Jones and Keo Motsepe were also in the bottom two after getting a 22 for their performance.
"It was awful, I'm surprised I was able to get back on. Every practice was better than that, I am so mad," she expressed her disappointment after the performance, reported US Weekly. "I honestly expected them to give me ones."
NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip and 'Back To The Future' actress Lea Thompson joined Johnson and Jones in the bottom four.
Jones was eventually eliminated Tuesday night.
"I wouldn't have had it any other way," the athlete graciously said, after the announcement. "I know Betsey had the malfunction with the boa and she deserves to stay."
