MBC’s new drama ‘Time Slip Dr. Jin’ is scheduled to air on the 26th of this month.
The drama is about a brilliant doctor in 2012 sent back in time to the Joseon Dynasty, specifically during the 1860s. The drama is based on a Japanese manga ‘Jin’ by Murakami Motoka, published in 2000. Japan already created a drama based on the manga in 2009 and was a huge hit.
‘Time Slip Dr. Jin’ has already raised curiosity as it will be including a character that was not in the original. Furthermore, the actors casted for the show are also increasing anticipation. Lee Bum Soo will be playing the part of Lee Ha Eung.
At first glance, Lee Ha Eung looks like any other lower-class citizen of society. However, he is playing the part of a peasant because he is actually related to the king and is on the run from assassins. He also looks very down-to-earth with foolishly happy, but in reality is filled with determination, and in the end helps the second son of Cha Nam to become king. He is a historically known figure in South Korea.
Lee Bum Soo stated, “Just the synopsis caught my attention…since my debut, this is my first time being part of a historical drama so I’m nervous and excited, I will take on this new responsibility and work hard to deliver a great product to viewers.”
