What's more exciting than news of Kate and William's adorable firstborn Prince George? News of a second royal baby on the way! The Duchess of Cambridge pregnant with their second child has made Kate feeling a little woozy lately. According ot the official Clarence House Twitter account, the Duchess is still suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum and had to do a raincheck on her upcoming solo trip to Malta. The trip was supposed to be in behalf of the queen, to celebrate Malta's Independence Day.
According to the official Twitter account of Clarence House: "The Duchess of Cambridge will no longer visit Malta this weekend. The Duke of Cambridge will undertake the visit instead #RoyalVisitMalta. HRH continues to suffer from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. The decision was taken on the advice of doctors #RoyalVisitMalta"
Earlier in the week we learned of some of the Duchess of Cambridge pregnant preps to ensure a healthy pregnancy, which include weekly fruit juices and avoiding spray tans and hair coloring. Another precaution, it seems, is to get all the rest that she needs.
Prince William will instead step in for Kate to attend the series of events that Malta has planned for their Independence day celebrations. These include a visit to the San Anton Palace, where the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca will be meeting with the Duke of Cambridge. Malta's Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is also expected at this event.
"The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to represent The Queen on the visit, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of Malta's Independence," the Clarence Twitter account added.
Hyperemesis Gravidarum is an extreme form of morning sickness, most especially experienced in the first trimester. The Duchess of Cambridge pregnant with Prince George also experienced this.
