King Arthur's legend will be back on movie screens in a big way, all thanks to Guy Ritchie's upcoming full length feature. Now it seems the King Arthur movie has found in Guinevere. And it's none other than Astrid Berges-Frisbey, the doe eyed and fresh faced actress. The French-Spanish actress most recently appeared as the mermaid Syrena in The Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
As Guinevere in this new King Arthur movie, Astrid will play the beautiful queen Guinevere, to King Arthur who will be played by Charlie Hunnam, the Sons Of Anarchy star who was also supposed to play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey the movie. Charlie Hunnam actually recently shared that he had suffered a nervous breakdown while trying to balance his three projects which included Fifty Shades Of Grey, Sons of Anarchy, and Crimson Peak.
Said the actor, "I was going to finish Sons [of Anarchy] at like 11 p.m. Friday night, get on the plane Saturday morning to Vancouver for Fifty, missing the whole first week of rehearsal and start shooting Monday morning," the actor shared. "And I was going to shoot that film, wrap that on the Wednesday and the following Monday I was going to start shooting Crimson Peak in Toronto. I just had like ... frankly, something of a nervous breakdown."
It seems like the actor is back on track in his acting projects with this latest King Arthur epic.
Other stellar actors in the King Arthur movie cast include Idris Elba as Bedivere, who will be Arthur's mentor in his path towards kinghood. It would also be interesting to see who will be cast as the knight Lancelot, who we all know will figure in a love triangle with Guinevere and Arthur.
The official title of the movie is Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, and it is planned to be the first in a series of movies about the Arthurian legend. The love story between Guinevere and Arthur is set to be told in different stages through these movies.
