Manchester's very own, Juan Mata, apologized to their fans after the team's humiliating retreat at Leicester City on Sunday.
Louis Van Gaal is driving United on to the right path for consecutive Premiere League wins for the first time but then, Gaal's team let a two-goal lead slip with the score at 3-1, and another four goals were yielded in 21 second-half minutes.
It was Leicester's first home win over United in 29 years, as a result of weak defense from United. Rafael and Tyler Blackett of United penalties gave way to Leicester's Leonardo Ulloa and Esteban Cambiasso to give the Foxes a lead in the game.
Mata was at fault for Jamie Vardy's goal as he submitted control to Ritchie De Laet which resulted to the Foxes undisputed foothold in the game.
Mata, in his weekly blog, wrote about the defeat and how painful it was for him being part of it.
"After a whole week waiting for the match I could not imagine a Sunday like this," the Spaniard said.
"Honestly, I feel very sorry that the weekend ended up for our fans in such a sad way."
Mata hopes that United will get back to their feet and bounce back from the Leicester defeat by winning over West Ham and Everton all before the second international break of the season.
"There is time during the week to analyse what happened and learn from our mistakes so as not to make them again," Mata added.
"Now we will play two consecutive games at Old Trafford that we want to win for our fans. We will put in our best efforts, you can be sure of that.
"I hope to be in a better mood next Sunday."
The game left United at rank 12th in the Premiere League after five matches.
