Bow Wow and Erica Mena are engaged and they managed to keep that news under wraps until recently. The "Love & Hip Hop New York" cast seal the relationship with the former boy rapper after dating for only six months.
A report from Us Magazine confirmed the reports that Bow Wow and Erica Mena are engaged.
"The musician (real name Shad Moss) confirmed his happy news via Instagram, showing off not only fiancee Mena's new bling, but also his matching diamond-encrusted Rolex watch," it said.
A few days earlier, Erica Mena corrected a reporter from E! News during the BET Awards in Atlanta who asked about her boyfriend Bow Wow. But the "Love & Hip Hop New York" reality star interrupted, "Uh..he's actually my fiance!"
Bow Wow started as a rapper at the age of 13 going by the name Lil Bow Wow releasing his first album "Beware of Dog" back in 2000 and followed it up with another album "Doggy Bag" a year later. He was quite successful as a boy rapper hitting three number one singles in the Top Ten US Charts.
The 27-year-old also landed a role as Brody "Baby Face" Nelson, a hacker who was ordered by a judge to work with Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) for the "CSI" spinoff, "CSI: Cyber"
Bow Wow and Erica Mena being engaged was surprising because of their auspicious beginning. Aaccording to Us, the couple met when the 27-year-old reality star was a guest in his BET show "106 & Park."
"After sharing a kiss on the famous couch, the couple became boyfriend and girlfriend," the magazine said.
Erica Mena, meanwhile, gained notoriety for her role in "Love & Hip Hop New York" since "she frequently found herself in the middle of love triangles and brawls," MTV said.
"The two have only been dating for about six months, and they haven't made many public appearances together," MTV added.
