Batman fans can now have their fix of all things related to the Dark Knight's universe with the premier of Fox's Gotham TV series. The show, which focuses on James Gordon before he became Gotham's commissioner, and before Bruce Wayne became the caped crusader. It will trace the rise of these two central figures in Gotham's society. And not only them, but the cast of villains that are going to make Gotham, the dark city that it is. The series will feature a host of these villains as they are just beginning to make their foray into the criminal world, and it is a virtual who's who that is worthy of a Gotham TV series Wiki.

Among the villains to make up the Gotham TV series wiki is The Penguin, whom everyone is familiar with -- whether from the comic books, or from Danny De Vito's chillingly revolting portrayal of him in the Tim Burton movie from 1992. The Penguin, whose real name is Oswald Cobblepot. Played by actor Robin Lord Taylor, The Penguin starts as a wealthy young man who is bullied and taunted because of his short stature and funny way of walking. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the actor revealed that he takes inspiration from Danny DeVito's version of The Penguin. "I was so blown away by Danny DeVito's work. The second I got the job, I came home and turned on the Google Chrome and watched scene after scene after scene. It was like my childhood flooding back to me," Taylor says.

In this Gotham universe, the sleek and svelte cat burglar, Catwoman is still a young Selina Kyle. Played by 15 year old actress Camren Bicondova, the young Catwoman is an orphan who climbs buildings and starts out as petty thief, stealing from pockets of unsuspecting Gotham residents wherever she goes.

Meanwhile, another major character in the Gotham TV series wiki is The Riddler, real name: Edward Nygma. The villain, as played by Cory Michael Smith actually starts as a forensic scientist for the Gotham City Police District, making him a formidable villain later on because he knows the police force from the inside. "Some of the comics talk about the relationship with his parents, which I think we will eventually see and flesh out. We're not there yet, but I think that's a huge theme in what we're doing here," Smith relates to Vulture.com "Parents are going to play a huge role in this."

And there you have it, an inside look at some of the villains who will make up the Gotham TV series wiki, and the same ones who viewers will be meeting at the Gotham premiere. There are several other villains, including Carmine Falcone, Fish Mooney, and Poison Ivy, who all have their own interesting back stories. Stay tuned for more details on them!
