Many avid Game of Thrones fans were a bit let down after news came out that two of their beloved characters will not actually have any air time in the upcoming season. Out of the many Game of Thrones Season 5 spoilers, this one disappointed fans a lot. It was reported that Bran Stark and his friend Hodor will not be appearing in the upcoming season, which was a shame since the story arc of the second to the youngest Stark child was just becoming interesting.
It will be remembered that Bran, Hodor and Meera had just met a manifestation of the three-eyed raven that they had been seeking for a long time, and that they had lost Jojen Reed in the process. But a spoiler of that particular event (Jojen's death) came by way of an interview with the actor who plays Jojen, Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
Apparently in what could be a Game of Thrones season 5 spoiler, something unusually morbid happened after Jojen Reed's death. And it has something to do with how exactly Bran's powers will come to him. For book readers, you will know that Bran eats a "weirwood paste," which Bran mentions, looks like a lot like blood. Thus many fans have concluded that the weirwood paste that Bran consumes to ignite his powers is actually dead Jojen Reed!
Brodie-Sangster, who played Jojen Reed was actually surprised by this bit Game of Thrones season 5 spoiler, during the interview with Vulture, and had this to say, "Ah! I'd be down for that! Eat me! Go ahead - I'd love for them to eat me..." the actor said. "I mean, I've already been stabbed, had my throat slashed, and been fire-balled, so what harm is there in eating me? And then I could come back. Although, you know, I'd really love to come back as a ghost. Wouldn't that be fun? Be a ghost for a day. Haunt them all."
