There's a new villain in the "Avengers 2" and we are about to meet the man who will bring life to the new character named Ultron. If you are wondering who this bad guy is, then we will give you a short introduction about him. He is the first character in the Marvel Comics to have the fictitious metal alloy adamantium and he is an A.I. created by Hank Pym.
Since the new film is called "Age of Ultron", then you will know how huge his role will be in the "Avengers 2". The actor that was chosen to play this important character is none other than James Spader, who is known for portraying eccentric roles in the past. If you grew up in the 80s, then you surely knew him for the films "Pretty in Pink" and "Less Than Zero".
Today, the 54-year old actor is more known as a high-profile criminal named Raymond "Red" Reddington in the TV series "The Blacklist". During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, he talked about his experience promoting "Avengers 2" at the Comic-Con. James Spader said via Movie Pilot, "I'm Ultron, eight-foot robot." He added, "We finished the season of Blacklist, and two days later I got on a plane and flew to London to shoot the Avengers. And then right after that came back here to New York and flew immediately to Comic-Con. And then flew back from Comic-Con to start shooting the second season of Blacklist. But Comic-Con is the most insane..."
James Spader also compared Comic-Con to foreplay saying, "It's not like at the end of the three days you get that, it's going to happen. They're anticipating an event that's not going to happen for six months or a year." In a separate interview with Hero Central (via io9), the character actor revealed that he is still not finished filming the "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
The Emmy Award-winner told the website, "We already have made a little date Joss (Whedon) and I for more motion capture to be done, in probably the fall. And more things that are actually scripted that we'll have to capture on a motion capture stage."
James Spader revealed, "It's entirely new to me, this whole process has been an incredibly exciting challenge. To try something like this where not only were the characters so unique to me. But just making the film was incomprehensible to me."
