Miley Cyrus Maserati burglars have now been arrested. The man and woman responsible for ransacking the "Wrecking Ball" singer's home in San Fernando Valley, California last May have now been apprehended by the authorities.
According to TMZ, the thieves, Tylor Scott and Naomi Charles, have already accepted plea deals on Monday. They were the criminals behind the burglarizing of Miley Cyrus' home and also for driving away from the scene of the crime using the pop star's 2014 Maserati Quattroporte.
Charles will spending one year in county jail as she pleaded guilty to one count of felony residential burglary. Meanwhile, Scott will be spending four years in state prison as he pleaded guilty to felony residential burglary and also for felony grand theft charges.
According to the report, Scott got a much harsher prison sentence because of his criminal record and also because he was carrying a gun with him when he ransacked the private property of Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus' Maserati, which stands at a value of $102,500, was recovered last June and was found to be lacking of any damages.
Moreover, according to the report, the criminal duo was actually inspired to steal from the pop star after they watched the film "The Bling Ring," which was based on a Nancy Jo Sales' Vanity Fair story.
Plus, according to the probation report, Miley Cyrus decided to "increase her personal security" after the incident occurred. This is her move to not only protect herself and her guests, but also her belongings, which are most likely very expensive. It also mentioned that "there are not many places the victim feels secure and private."
Sources have also stated that Miley Cyrus demanded that the criminal tandem must receive hard sentencing so that similar incidents in the future are stopped. To date, Miley Cyrus or her representative has not commented on the matter at hand.
