Internet hackers are threatening to leak nude photos of Emma Watson after the "Harry Potter" star received countless of praises following her speech on gender equality and feminism at the United Nations.
Users of 4chan, a website known for leaking nude photos of A-list celebrities, created a new website called "Emma You Are Next," thus insinuating that the former child star's nude photos will be leaked next.
On Tuesday night, the website posted a countdown alongside a photo of a tearful Watson. When the countdown clock ticked to zero, a message that read, "We will launch earlier, tune in on September 24, 2014 at 12am EST (0400 GMT)" appeared, according to IBN Live.
Earlier this week, Watson received praises from all over the world after she spoke about her belief in being able to make decisions about her own body.
"My recent research has shown me that feminism has become an unpopular word. I was appointed six months ago and the more I have spoken about feminism the more I have realized that fighting for women's rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop," she said.
Watson's speech at the UN marks the launch of the "HeForShe" campaign aimed at mobilizing one billion men and boys within the span of one year to support gender equality, Nation reported.
Also during her speech, Watson recalled her growing up years as a teenager and said, "When I was 14, I started to be romantic by certain elements of the media. When I was 15 my girl friends started dropping out of their beloved sports teams because they did not want to appear muscly. If we stop defining each other by what we are not and start defining ourselves by who we are we can all be freer and this is what HeForShe is about."
