After impressing leaders and fans all over the world at the UN Climate Summit 2014, Leonardo DiCaprio's Instagram post made everyone even more impressed with the A-list actor.
Unlike most of his colleagues in Hollywood, the 'Wolf Of Wall Street' star opted not to share his private life with the world through social media.
However, his recent appointment as a UN Messenger of Peace for Climate Change seemed to have pushed the veteran actor into finally joining Instagram.
He stood in front of climate experts, diplomats and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, sharing his thoughts on the urgency of climate change and its implications to our planet and ultimately, our future.
'This is not a partisan debate; it is a human one," he told the UN Assembly on Tuesday morning. "Clean air and water, and a livable climate, are inalienable human rights. And solving this crisis is not a question of politics. It is our moral obligation - if, admittedly, a daunting one."
He ended his speech with a scary declaration, "None of this is rhetoric, and none of it is hysteria. It is fact."
A photo was also uploaded on Leonardo DiCaprio's Instagram on Tuesday. As expected, he uploaded a powerful picture of himself and Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
"Today, I have the privilege to speak at the United Nations #Climate2014 Summit where world leaders are expected to announce the bold steps they will take to tackle climate change. Thank you Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon," the Hollywood actor captioned the photo.
He also posted a photo of himself with "#climatechange pioneer" former US president Al Gore.
The 39-year-old star created the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in 1998. The foundation aims to preserve the world's wildlife and promote a harmonious relationship between mankind and nature.
He was also honoured by the Clinton Foundation on Sunday for his longstanding activism in the name of environmental preservation.
