Serena Williams boyfriend rumors resurfaced after the cryptic social media posts as the tennis champ withdrew from Wuhan Open after complaining of being "nauseous."

The latest photos on Instagram and Twitter only fueled the Serena Williams boyfriend rumors as her followers are left wondering if they are related to her reported beau, coach Patrick Mouratoglou.

One of the images was that of a fortune cookie paper with the words: "You have a heart of gold." The second picture was that of a stick figure holding a large heart.

While, she didn't directly address the Serena Williams boyfriend rumors, both the tennis champion and her coach have not really categorically denied the talks.

In an article by Page Six last month, Serena Williams and Patrick Mouratoglou were reportedly seen on a romantic date at the Bagatelle around 9:30 p.m. The article even noted the food that they ordered which consisted of crab salad, oysters and truffled chicken.

"They seemed very intimate and they didn't stop chatting all night. They headed back to their hotel after about an hour and a half," a witness told Page Six.

The same article also said that the Serena Williams boyfriend rumors were seemingly confirmed by former tennis star Maria Sharapova who told on the champion who previously described her as boring.

"Maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids," Sharapova said.

Meanwhile, Serena Williams has dropped out of the Wuhan Open after complaining of an illness during her match with Alizé Cornet of France, said Reuters as published on Guardian.

"The world No1 had shown flashes of her usual brilliance but did not look at full fitness throughout her hour of activity on the Centre Court," the article noted, adding that Serena Williams also withdrew from Wimbledon in July due to illness.
